Troop 62 Congratulates it's newest Eagle Scout, Colton Shaw Duvall! Colton was honored on August 21, 2010 at his Eagle Court of Honor. Distinguished guests, Smithsburg Mayor Mickey Myers, Delegate Andrew Serefini, Senator Donald Munson, Jerry Cump - Eagle Scout and Elks Americanism Committee Chair and Mason-Dixon Council Scout Executive, Mark Barbernitz were in attendance.

Colton presented Gladys Brown with his Mentor pin in memory of Donald Brown, Cubmaster (Cub Scout Pack 14), Den Leader (Cub Scout Pack 14) and Merit Badge Counselor (Mason-Dixon Council). Don Brown referred to the 3 scouts above as the 3 Musketeers.
Colton has served as the Troop's Bugler for the last 3 years. He has earned 52 merit badges to date. He is also a Brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow Guneukitschik Lodge #317. Colton had the opportunity to attend the Northern Tier High Adventure trip in Atikokan, Canada. He also attended the National Boy Scout Jamboree at Fort A.P. Hill, VA.
Colton's Eagle Project was to plan, organize and supervise the construction of 4 memorial gardens to honor the early citizens, veterans and numerous children buried in the 1800's in the cemetery at his church.
