SPCA Visit & Donations

Troop 62 made a visit to the Washington County Humane Society to deliver donations from Scouts.  The Scouts had the opportunity to visit with the animals in the shelter during their visit.  Thanks to the Scouts and leaders who donated items to the shelter.

Roller Skating @ Turner's

Troop 62 scouts had a great time roller skating on Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012. Thanks to Turner's Skate Palace for celebrating Scout Week!





Troop 62's February Court of Honor

Troop 62 held their quarterly Court of Honor on Monday, February 6, 2012.  The Senior Patrol Leader, Mason Beck-Schmieder welcomed families and guests.  Carey Leverett, Committee Chairman gave a welcome as well and then introduced Tade Sullivan from the Mason Dixon Council for the Friends of Scouting presentation.  Chaplin Aide, LJ Etter led in prayer before the meal.  Following the meal, scouts who earned merit badges and rank advancements were recognized.

All Scouts and leaders received their Silver Journey to Excellence patch for meeting the Silver Level in the BSA Journey to Excellence program.  Scouts who participted in the Popcorn Fundraiser were also awarded Popcorn Patches and recognitions for selling certain amounts.  Congratulations to all our Scouts!

Snowtubing was GREAT!

Our scouts enjoyed an evening of snowtubing at Liberty Mountain Resort near Gettysburg! It was quite foggy (couldn't see the bottom of the mountain from the top).  Luckily the rain moved out before we began so we had a precipitation free night! About 17 scouts attended and many adults. Thanks to the adults who tubed with the scouts as well as the adults who weathered the extremely foggy conditions to drive our scouts. Enjoy the photos below!
