Scouting for Food

Scouting for Food was a HUGE success this year!!  Thanks to the community who set out bags of food for the scouts to collect!  A BIG THANKS to the 19 scouts and 11 adults who weathered the snowy weather and slushy streets to come out and collect the food.  Scouts collected the food and took it to the local food bank.  Approximately 90 plastic grocery bags of food were collected!
WAY TO GO, Troop 62!!

Troop 62 has been BUSY!

Troop 62 scouts have been busy serving others!

During September, a few scouts helped clean-up the Antietam Creek.  These scouts pulled trash out of the creek as well as along the creek's edge.  Lots of hard, wet work for these scouts.

A few scouts assisted the Chewsville Lions Club (Troop 62's Charter organization) in working their concession stand during Mack Truck's Open House!

Scouts also assisted the Chewsville Lions Club in setting up for their annual Yard Sale.  Scouts set up tables and canopy's as well as setting items out for customers to purchase.

Many scouts assisted the Troop in the Popcorn Show and Sell Fundraiser at the Smithsburg Steam and Craft Show.

Many thanks to all the scouts who assisted and served others during September.
